Just a quick note to our Equifax customers.
Equifax is requiring applications like Easy Access to send a new field, Vendor ID. We have had many Equifax customers asking whether or not Easy Access Supports Equifax’s Vendor ID. This is actually not news to us. Easy Access has been sending the Vendor ID to Equifax now for years. Real Solutions was actually one of the first vendors to actually be assigned a Vendor ID (our ID is #4).
Come October, when Equifax makes this a required field, you won’t have a problem.
NOTE: If you are running an older version of Easy Access and are unsure if your version sends the Vendor ID, follow these steps to check:
- Insert an Equifax test file (Edit Menu > Insert Test File > Robert Crawford
- Click on the Tools Menu > Debug > Inquiry
- Scroll down to Segment IDNT
- Scroll down and look for Vendor ID (it should appear right after Optional Feature Codes)
If you see Vendor ID you will be fine. If you don’t see it, you will need to update your software by visiting the License Management page on our website.
