Version 6.1.5
- Changed tech support phone number
- Added Vendor Code to Equifax ISTS 5.0 specs
- Added support for XML output for Experian reports.
- Earlier, when selecting an Equifax Add-On, either by default or by the Inquiry Entry Screen, when un-selecting it, it still requested the add-ons from Equifax. Fixed.
- Added new STAGG option to the Experian credit report as an optional add-on.
- When connecting to Experian, the URL should be checked every 24 hours. This was not working. It is now fixed.
- Fixed TU Decodes ans SSNs over Internet. Broken in 6.1.3a.
Version 6.1.4
- Added a new GetReportNow function to the EA2000Com interface in the Enterprise Edition. This function is like the GetReport function, except it returns the credit report rather than forcing a user to grab the report in the EA2000Com Event.
- Added a new Vendor Version. This version allows the software to continue to run past the Expiration of the trial version but will only send test files included in a special testfile.txt file in the program directory.
- Now allows connections to TransUnion on all ports. Earlier versions only allowed ports 3018 and 3019.
- File Menu Save As now only available when viewing a stored report or in Write.
- Disabled Export Options button in the setup for all versions which it is not available.
- EAComClient now will run when running a standard trial version.
- No longer sends Account Type information to Experian when sending a Connect Check over NetConnect.
- The ‘Register Now’ button is not visible once the user starts to type in their registration number.
- We pad the EQ subscriber number both in the Dial and IDNT segments. Earlier versions only padded the Dial segment, cause users errors if they had entered a short Equifax member number.
- When automatically exporting reports to file, if the filename already exists, Easy Access would append a number to the end of the file making it a unique filename, but would only go up to 99. If a vendor does a lot of testing, the export starts to display an error message when the 99th file is created, thus stopping the Com Object if this is what the user is using. This limit has been raised to 9999, hoping that a user will see all the files and removing them before getting the error message.
- Experian’s CollectScore and RecoverScore both are only available in version 6.0. Easy Access now specifies this version when sending either one of these Risk Scores.
Version 6.1.3
- New Filter options that allows you to filter the Inquiry Database by any field currently being displayed in the Inquiry List.
- Added a new Hangup/Cancel button to the top of Easy Access. This makes it a little easier to cancel a transmission that is currently in progress.
- AppendtoFile is now an Enterprise Only feature, since I am going to be adding a lot of logic to it.
- Added Experian’s CU Decision Expert product to Net Connect.
- Added OFAC support to Experian’s Net Connect.
- Added California SB-168 Support for Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
- New On-Line registration. This keeps users from having to call Real Solutions when they originally install the software or when they want to move their license to another computer.
- New ‘Department’ import field available in the Enterprise version. Setting a value in this field while using the Watch directory will use the default values and settings from the named department. This is only available in the Enterprise Edition. The Professional Edition still needs to specify a different ‘Template’ to use a department other than the default.
- New ‘Parsing Fields’ are now available in the Enterprise Edition. These fields allow you to export only the information you want from the returned report rather than having to export the entire report.
- Output Type is now a ‘Default’ field when entering it in the Default department.
- Sending Experian’s Employment Insight with a Permissible Purpose field filled in would cause an Inquiry Format error when sending over Internet. Fixed.
- New Pro 4000. Same as the Pro version, though it will send multi threaded.
- Added some additional Y2K date format settings to allow for customers that use dashes in their dates. While this doesn’t normally cause problems if it isn’t changed, it can cause problems when importing from other programs that use them, either when importing or using Grabit.
- Misc report formatting changes. Now almost all dialup reports match their Internet counterparts.
Version 6.1.2
- New Enterprise Edition features now available. The new Enterprise Edition of Easy Access includes automatic importing and a COM interface for developers.
- Added Export options for the Professional and Enterprise Editions. New ‘Append’ options allow users to set up Easy Access to store all of the reports in a single export file or individual files with a number of choices.
- Misc. GrabIt changes. Added new SendKeysCharDelay to the INI file. This will add a delay between each character sent by GrabIt.
- Stats Menu now available for recording statistics. INI setting. [Bureau Setup], stats=1 makes menu visible.
- 1.6.2.0a: When acting as the connection server, the ‘Don’t send’ option in the Import Template was not being honored. Now it is honored.
- 1.6.2.0a: Would get an error when coming up from minimized state when asking for the password. Fixed.
Version 6.1.0
- Now, when testing a GrabIt macro within GrabIt, the macro will not start until all keys are released. Earlier versions would start the macro even when some keys were still down, causing the Grabit testing to fail. This made it look like it wouldn’t work with their application.
- If the TransUnion digital certificate is not found, the user can now browse to find the file. This will help people who have renamed their files so they can load them without having to change the INI file.
- Removed Support Forum Help menu option which is longer available online.
- All Password field boxes are now limited to 10 characters since this is the limit in the PWordDB.
- New additional data formatting occurs when importing phone number and date fields with GrabIt.
- The Reference and Terms fields were being sent over Experian’s Net Connect incorrectly, causing a formatting error when sent. Corrected.
- BringToTop with Grabit now works with Win98/ME. This new fix gets around Windows 98/ME *feature* which did not allow other applications to make themselves the Foreground Window. By forcing an Alt-Tab to occur, Easy Access is forced to the front.
- When importing from command line or using GrabIt, the user would be prompted for a password if the databases were closed. Fixed.
- Created a new Print Image for TransUnion’s Aquire Select product.
- The TransUnion Test Site URL would not stick. Kept changed back to production URL. Fixed.
- The Password Box didn’t allow you to click OK, requiring you to hit <Enter>. Fixed.
- Equifax SSN reports were not formatting correctly. Corrected
- New COM Client Component (BETA). To be included only in the Enterprise Edition, this component gives developers a way to hook directly into Easy Access.
Version 6.0.0
- Easy Access in the past has only fully supported the TTY (Human Readable) reports. Now there are also options to receive CPU (Machine readable) reports or Both the TTY and CPU reports for all 3 bureaus.
- Moved the Equifax product ‘Acrofile Plus’ to the Department setup, Output Type.
- No longer allows &’s and %’s and other invalid characters to be entered in Inquiry Entry Form
- Improved the way special data fields are handled when being imported with GrabIt. Since date, social security and phone number fields have to be formatted, additional formatting was added to handle these special fields better. Also, some additional characters were stripped out to keep errors from occurring.
- Now has a new BringToFront option when using GrabIt. If checked, it will bring the application to the top when a HotKey is pressed.
- Added new ‘HotKey’ command line option. Now you can use the HK- keyword to automatically start a hot key (GrabIt) when starting Easy Access (”HK-CTRL-ALT-Q”).
- Increased departments. Now, supports the new increasing amount of departments.
- New command line option, FN-”c:filename”. Now you can optionally specify a filename in conjunction with a Template Name when importing. This will use all of the settings in the template except the filename, which gets specified in the FN- parameter.
- Added new ‘Hide’ command line option. Now you can use the H keyword (’H’ by itself) to hide the spash screen when starting up the software. This is a nice option to use when you are controlling Easy Access from another application.
- Net 30 license would only allow one user in the software. Fixed.(1.51c)
- Rewrote the routine that creates the certificate files. Some file references did not include full paths. Since some customers could not find the file.(1.51b). Now requires both the certificate from TU and the password before you are able to setup TU NetAccess.
- Some customers reported that their credit report header, displayed on the top of page #2 to the end of the report, did not match the report. There were some changed done to keep this from ever happening again. Although, this could not be duplicated in-house, the code added should keep it from ever happening again.(1.51a)
- When importing from command line, if the software was already running, it would make itself the foreground window. This is not good for users trying to run our application totally in the background. This has been fixed.
- When using the staging url with Experian, if the software was running for more than 24 hours, the URL would switch back to a production url rather than rereading the INI file. Now we reread the ini file when expiring the URL.
Version 5.1.0
- Reset Confirmation Code is now displayed to the user when resetting the software.
- Now supports up to a 70 workstation install.
- Installation Code Program update.
- Fixed Access Violation that would occur if a user tries to exit the software while on the terminal screen.
- Earlier versions of Easy Access 2000 would return an error if the Zip Code table was not installed. Fixed.
- The default Experian URL was pointing to the non-production site. Fixed.
- Now only supported devices are shown when displaying the Tapi names in the connection setup.
- Earlier Multi bureau versions would automatically default to sending to all 3 bureaus when adding new inquiries. Now the software will default to only include the bureaus you set up in the wizard.
- Slowed down the Internet threads to keep from getting errors when sending a batch of inquiries. This would happen only the first time the software was run with a batch of inquiries.
- Terminal lights were not working on the terminal screen. Fixed.
- This version requires that the ‘TUNA Prod Client Cert.P12′ file is present in the program directory. Certificates are now created from this file. This will need to be updated in both the help file and the docs we send to the user.
- No longer honors the ‘Don’t unmark inquiries if less than … lines. Now all inquiries are unmarked with anything is returned.
- Better error reporting when error messages are returned from Equifax.
- Minor adjustments to the Import Wizard and the way it handles “’s (Quotes) in the import files.
Version 5.0.0
- Updated Experian’s version tag to reflect ARF version 07 rather than version 06.
- Added Equifax’s new Internet connection into the software. Now users can optionally retrieve their reports using the current Internet connection rather than a separate dialup phone line and modem at no additional per transaction charges.
- Added Experian’s new Internet connection, Net Connect, into the software. Now users can optionally retrieve their reports using the current Internet connection rather than a separate dialup phone line and modem at no additional per transaction charges.
- Added an ‘Automatic Send’ option when using GrabIt with Easy Access 2000.
- Added Equifax ID Advisor, ID Advisor Plus, Fraud Advisor and Market Max products.
- Added Equifax Consumer Disclosure product.
- Added Trans Union’s Total ID product.
- Removed the MCI connection option for Equifax.
- Removed Equifax’s Double Space, Acro A, Acro B and Telco products.
- Version 1.3 would not let the user change where they want to be taken after the report has been received. Fixed.
Version 3.1.0
- Added Equifax’s new Internet connection into the software. Now users can optionally retrieve their reports using the current Internet connection rather than a separate dialup phone line and modem with no additional per transaction fees.
- Added Experian’s new Internet connection, Net Connect, into the software. Now users can optionally retrieve their reports using the current Internet connection rather than a separate dialup phone line and modem with no additional per transaction fees.
- Added Equifax ID Advisor, ID Advisor Plus, Fraud Advisor and Market Max products.
- Added Equifax Consumer Disclosure product.
- Added an ‘Automatic Send’ option when using GrabIt with Easy Access 2000.
- When using multiple departments, you are now given the option to have all of your departments updated when changing setup information on the Default department.
- Removed the MCI connection option for Equifax.
- Removed Equifax’s Double Space, Acro A, Acro B and Telco products.
- Version 1.3 would not let the user change where they want to be taken after the report has been received. Fixed.
Version 3.0.0
- Added Trans Union’s Total ID product.
- Added support for Trans Union’s Links.
- Now supports TUNetAccess. This is a direct Internet connection to TransUnion. Once setup, Easy Access will alternatively pull reports using your Internet connection rather than dialup. This is a department setup, so you can have some dialup and Internet accounts all in the same version of software.
- Added new connection graphics.
- Now, the databases will automatically repair themselves on startup if damaged.
- Now I use a binary search when preparing to send. Sending 5000 inquiries would take 1.5 minutes to start. Now, only .08.
- Changed the way I leave the Inquiry List. Formerly I would sort it by Edit Date if leaving ByMarked. Now I re-sort by whatever they had before I changed it (if I did change it) to byMarked.
- No longer display AcroPlus when displaying an Equifax reportstring. Just (F).
- Internet: I now correctly store an SSL error message to the log at the end of a failed Internet connection. Earlier versions only display an error and the URL.
- Internet – ActAsServer: Made changes to work better when sending Internet reports.
- Now a user can click on the status message area to bring up a menu which will let them cancel the current transmission.
- Now should correctly dialup if the TU site goes down. Current version will not dialup, but instead just re-sends to TUInternet.
- Added the 3rd thread to the Internet connection now that TransUnion allows more than two connections to their database.
- Miscellaneous enhancements.
- Fixed the badly formatted Employment reports. For some reason, the employment report has 80-character length report lines, while other Trans Union reports only have 77 character lines.
Version 2.8.0 a
- Completed TU’s Internet connection within the software. While still being beta tested by select TU customers, TU is planning on releasing it to all of their members the first quarter of 2002.
- Added a ‘Set as default’ menu item. When clicked, it will set the department defaults to match the current selected record. This will keep the user from having to go into the bureau setup to setup defaults for individual departments.
- Added new menu items that automatically enter test files for all 3 bureaus. This will make it easier for tech support, reps in the field and customers that are testing their connection.
- Added the ability to change the database directory from within the software.
- Added a new Internet connection log for debugging troublesome Internet connections.
- Added new History selection!
- Added a new ‘After Preview’ option. This lets the user choose where they would like to be taken after previewing the reports during the connection process. Earlier versions would always take the user to ‘Easy Access Today’ screen after previewing the connection. Now it defaults to the Last Stored Report. They can also go to the Inquiry List, Inquiry Entry Form or to Easy Access Today after the communication session has completed.
- Added new ‘Exact’ printing. Easy Access normally strips out any blank lines at the top of the credit report to make room for our own custom header. Now these lines are left intact if the user is not printing a custom header. This will allow the user to receive the ‘Exact’ report delivered by the credit bureau.
- Improved printing speed.
- When printing from the Letter Merge, it no longer asks the user if he wants to Merge the document with the selected record. The merging is now just defaulted to whenever a Letter is printed that includes a Merge Field.
- Added new Permissible Purpose fields in the Bureau Setup. Earlier versions tied the Type Code together with the Permissible Purpose Code and only allowed a Permissible Purpose field to be defaulted to. Now, since Permissible Purpose is a bureau setup field, this code will be sent automatically with all inquiries added to this department. Since most credit bureau customers are required to enter these codes, this will make it easier to setup. The Type Codes are still used, but only when used in combination with the Terms and Amount fields and only with certain products
- If leaving the Inquiry List, and the database is sorted by Marked, the sorting is switched to Edit Date. In earlier versions if the database is left sorted by Marked, the inquiry appears to disappear when it is successfully sent. This revision will keep this from happening, though it will still happen if the user was sending while viewing the Inquiry List.
- Now strips out all additional spaces with importing fields
- In some instances, the report header could overwrite itself. Corrected by left justifying the ‘Consumers Name’ part of the header and eliminating the right section.
- Sending multiple TU traces would only print out the last trace. Corrected.
- Now strips out all additional spaces when importing fields. If a user would import a file containing many additional spaces in the ASCII file it would cause an access violation.
- Removed the MainForm.Repaint command used both after clicking OK in the setup, and when unmarking and marking records. Not sure why I included it there to start with. It was causing other repaint problems.
Version 2.7.0
- Now the software defaults to setting the ‘LockDTE’ to TRUE. If running an earlier version, it sets this option to true when starting 1.27 for the first time. Also, when changing modem names, the options is set to TRUE. This will help the modems that have a hard time after making the connection, or that always dial in twice before making a successful connection.
- Improved the searching and sorting capabilities in the Inquiry List.
- The 2 custom reports that ship with Easy Access, or any custom reports based off of these reports, would not export to ascii files correctly. Fixed.
- Changed the way we format the Glance report with TU40 spec’s to make it easier for the end user to setup properly.
- No longer requires that users running Windows 95b update their redirector files unless they are sharing databases across a network.
- Now allows both Trans Union Alpha and Number Market codes when entering Trans Union’s lookup product on inquiries (Decodes).
- Made changes to GrabIt to make it more compatible with Microsoft Office products.
Version 2.6.0
- Changed the Trans Union Decode Form (Look Up) to make it easier for the end user to decode all types of subscriber numbers. Supports collection, public record, trade and inquiry types all on one easy to enter form.
- Added additional Equifax permissible purpose codes.
- Made user interface changes to the Import Wizard to allow for better handling of blank fields.
- Misc. changes to both the Internet (beta) and dialup connections.
- In some instances, if a user were using multiple departments, the software would not send properly. While this has never been reported, it is a possible bug that was discovered here and hopefully corrected prior to many calls.
Version 2.5.0
- Added ability to ‘mark reports as printed’ within the Report List. This will let users that start using the modem server mark reports as printed. Earlier versions of the software only marked reports as printed if a modem server was being used.
- If a user imported in an incomplete address (including only an apartment number), the software would return an error. This is now fixed.
- Fixed tab order on both the Experian and the Trans Union product tabs.
- No longer will allow the Navigator Bar to be resized less than 50 pixels wide. This will keep users from accidentally hiding the bar.
- Added a new ‘Redial until connected’ option on the Modem tab in the setup. This will keep the modem redialing if for some reason a connection is not made.
- Add a new OnEditError event to all tables to check for the 8708 error. If the 8708 error occurs, rather than displaying the error to the user, I first refresh the databases and try to put the record in edit again. If successful, the user doesn’t see an error message. If I still can’t put the record in edit mode, then I display the error to the user.
- When sending a Trace to Trans Union, the SSN was being sent as the last name of the individual. This shouldn’t be sent, though it doesn’t cause errors from Trans Union. Changed to not send SSN as last name.
- Access Violation would be presented to the user when entering Employment street address and not including a city/state/zip. Fixed.
- In some cases, if a user was going to fill in all of the inquiry, a couple of previous addresses and all employment information, some of the inquiry would not be sent to TU. Fixed.
Version 2.4.0
- If sending and having the FFR returned with TU, the ‘less than 7 lines’ error no longer pops up.
- Address input is now optional with TU’s ScoreSearch.
- Now correctly sends employment information and drivers license information with Fraud Detect.
- Send all for Department would only send one inquiry at a time, hanging up between inquiries. Also would return ‘no marked inquiries’ and not send at all. Fixed.
- Removed all pop up messages during the sending process. All messages were normally shown to the user as a popup message, requiring them to click OK. These will now be displayed to the user on the Home page after the transmission is complete.
- When receiving an error message from the bureau when sending batches, the last inquiry would store a blank report. This has been fixed.
- Earlier versions would change a joint inquiry back to a single inquiry when the department was changed. Now joint inquiry is honored between department changes.
- Now allow users to include hyphens (-) in the inquiry.
- The Inquiry Entry Form was not being setup properly when running a joint reports with some products like CU Decision Expert. This has been corrected.
- Version 1.23 required addresses to be entered when sending TU Score Search. Addresses are only required if a Social Security Number is not included. This has been corrected.
- Version 1.23 was not sending TU Joint reports correctly. This has been corrected.
- Made changes to Experian’s NetConnect Internet connection (beta versions only).
- Added Trans Union’s new Internet connection (beta versions only).
Version 2.3.0
- Added the new Experian Internet Net Connect connection into the software. While only in beta right now, when fully released by Experian, this will allow Experian users to pull their reports across their standard Internet connection.
- Add Experian’s new CrossView product and Debit Model risk model.
- Now all TU products, except the Atlas products, now are sent using the TU40 specs. This is in preparation for the new TU Internet connection coming in September 2001.
- New TU Print options now allow you to request a CPU (FFR: Fixed formatted report) to be returned, along with other print options.
- Added new Trans Union products: GeoCode, Reverse Phone Append, GAD Report, IDSearch, PEER Report (now selectable without requiring a special TU subscriber number), Score Report, Score Search, Trace Plus, Retrace Plus and IDSearch Plus.
- Added the ability to send up to 5 TU risk models. Earlier versions only allowed 1 TU risk model to be sent.
- Now, custom reports can be exported to ASCII comma delimited files. This gives the user the option to export information from Easy Access and import into programs like Excel.
- Importing now supports the importing of full names rather than just last name, first name, middle name.
- An account number is no longer required when sending a Trans Union Glance product.
- Changed how the Canadian subscriber number is read when sending a TU Canadian report. Now, Easy Access will find the Industry Code within the subscriber number no matter where in the subscriber number the Industry Code is inserted. Earlier versions required the industry code to be entered first.
- Installation now looks for previously installed versions. If one is found, the installation now asks the user if they would like to update their installation or reinstall it.
- User initials were not being sent to Experian correctly. Corrected.
- If a user never used the modem server option, but then decided to use it, activating the print server would cause all old reports for a person to print when they sent a new inquiry. This has now been corrected.
- I the multi version, Joint checkbox would not always stay checked when changing product settings and bureaus settings. Corrected.
- Fixed the way zip codes are imported. Earlier versions would save 6 number zip code if the user entered a 9 number zip code. Now, only the 5-digit zip is saved.
- Sending ‘All for current User’ would take a long time before sending if there were 100 or more marked inquiries. These calculations have now been optimized reducing the wait to under a second.
- Re-labeled Type Codes to Type/Permissible Purpose Codes so TU users will be able to find it easier, since TU Type Codes are also Permissible Purpose Codes.
- Removed the EAW Unique Type from the Type Code setup. This field is no longer needed.
- Entering a duplicate social security number would sometimes return an Access Violation when jumping to the duplicate record. This only happened when using multiple departments and custom inquiry entry forms. This has now been fixed.
- Earlier versions only allowed installations using a modem server to ‘print all’ incoming reports. Now this option is available when no modem server is being used.
- There were very rare situations where the first report received would not be printed out. Fixed.
- Version 1.22 would return an error when sending a Joint inquiry. Fixed.
- Version 1.22 was not sending the end user segment (EU01) correctly to TU. Corrected.
- Version 1.22 would return an error if a Type Code or Permissible Purpose Code were not entered.
- Version 1.22 did not format PO Box or Route Rt addresses correctly. Fixed.
Version 2.2.0
- Added the new Experian Internet Net Connect connection into the software. While only in beta right now, when fully released by Experian, this will allow Experian users to pull their reports across their standard Internet connection.
- Add Experian’s new CrossView product and Debit Model risk model.
- Now all TU products, except the Atlas products, now are sent using the TU40 specs. This is in preparation for the new TU Internet connection coming in September 2001. This now allows not only the printable report to be returned, but now you can also request a CPU (FFR: Fixed formatted report) to be returned.
- An account number is no longer required when sending a Trans Union Glance product.
- Now, custom reports can be exported to ASCII comma delimited files. This gives the user the option to export information from Easy Access and import into programs like Excel.
- Importing now supports the importing of full names rather than just last name, first name, middle name.
Version 2.1.0
- Some versions of Windows would occasionally write changes to the database incorrectly, causing a corrupt header in the database file. While this didn’t affect all users, changes were made to correct this. This has now been fixed and all information will be correctly written to disk in all Windows versions, even if the machine locks up while the software is running.
- Redesigned the InquiryNo field from a small integer field to a large integer field. This will keep people from getting error messages once they have received 32,000+ records.
- Fixed Experian Business Reports. Version 1.2 would not send due to changes made when adding Experian’s new NetConnect Internet connection.
Version 2.0.0
- Added new Beta version of Experian’s Internet stuff. Using an IXPR.SCR script file.
- Added support for Equifax’s permissible purpose codes (type codes). Earlier versions of Easy Access would only send ‘00′ for the Equifax type codes. Now users can specify their own codes for Equifax reports if required by Equifax.
- Removed Experian’s Flood Hazard Certs and Credit Trends products. No longer offered.
- No longer display Experian credit report headers when pulling Experian reports. Recent changes to the report would cause additional page breaks. This has not been corrected.
- Users would get an error when exiting the software if the inquiry database was in edit or insert mode. This has been corrected.
- When Easy Access is minimized to the System Tray, the popup menu is now active.
- Added new Experian Auto, Tele Risk and Insurance Risk modals.
- All the reports in the Report List can now be selected by pressing <CTRL-A> while in the Report List.
- Fixed a problem when using the CAPS conditional merge field. Earlier versions would not correctly merge if the user had placed two of more CAPS next to each other.
- Added new program parameter NODATA that will open up the program without opening up any databases.
- Revised the update utility.
- Misc. fixes.
Version 1.0.0
- Adjusted the Setup Wizard and the Customize Form so it will not be sizable. This should fix the problems we have with machines that show the buttons below the form. Also made the NEXT button the first active control when starting.
- When the inquiry database was empty, the software would not honor Inquiry Shortcuts. This has been corrected.
- If using Easy Access’s modem server, Easy Access will no longer allow duplicate user names to be in the software at the same time. If the users are not using the built in password protection, this might force these users to setup a different user name in Windows networking setup.
- Easy Access now requires when adding new users in the password setup, all user names must be unique.
- Changed the way I handled Address1 in the letter merge. It used to handle the addresses the old way, adding together all the individual address fields. Now that I have a street address field, I should be using that field for address1. Now I am.
- When running Instant Updates, Bullseye, Glance and the Watch products, customers would get an error message stating that they might have gotten an error from the bureau. This was due to the fact that when the software received a report less than 7 lines long, it would assume it received an error message. Users would have to shut this option off. Now the software will not display the error message if it sees it just ran one of those reports.
- Fixed Setup report. Still said Easy Access 98.
- Easy access now stores the credit report to the databases before the report is printed to the printer. This way, if a user receives some sort of printer error, which in turn crashes the program, the report would have already been saved to the database. While this doesn’t happen often, this will prevent the customer from having to re-send the inquiry to the bureau.
- Now, if a user chooses Instant Update, it will automatically display these fields if they are not already displayed.
- When using a Tapi Modem, the standard modem controls (database modem setting controls) were not getting disabled correctly. Fixed.
- Misc. fixes.
- Both the department Access Rights control and the Equifax MCI checkbox in the Bureau setup of the software were disabled in version 1.012. Fixed.
- Added new conditional merge fields. This will let the user merge information into a letter based on whether certain fields contain, or don’t contain information. See the help file for more information.
- Added new CAPS command to the letter merge. This command will capitalize any merge field included in a letter merge. See the help file for more information.
- Added additional information for error #9. This will help track the reason customers receive this error.
- Now only look at the minutes when testing if installation is original. Older version copy protection checked date and time, but on some NT installations, it would return different. This way it will always be the same even if users have different timezones set. *** Work in progress ***
- If a user updated to a new minor release of Easy Access 2000, like from version 1.0 to 1.01, the databases would be restructured. This should only happen on new conversions from older versions of Easy Access. This would input a spouse’s last name even if no spouse were included on the original inquiry. This has been corrected.
- Now, when assigning the modem server, the software saves the workstation name as the name of the modem server rather than the username. This was causing problems when more than one user using the same username was using the software.
- Experian’s Instant Update would return an error in earlier versions. Corrected.
- Network versions would sometimes get a DB corruption error when adding and removing multiple departments while sharing the databases. Now, all tables have their buffers flushed after each post and delete method.
- When viewing the preview panel, the user could size the panel so small it couldn’t be seen. Now the preview panel has a minimum height that it can be resized.
- Reduced the amount of information that is saved when saving an Import Template. This will allow more import templates to be saved before hitting Windows INI file limitations. Allow earlier versions would allow a user to save a template without giving it a name. If this happened, the INI file that stores the templates would stop reading and writing correctly. Now a user must assign a template name when saving the template.
- Missing Datamodule in Setup (direct) modem settings. Fixed.
- Applied new APro 3.04 to try to correct the disconnect problem. No results as of yet whether it will change anything.
- New fix to try to keep the software from unregistering itself when the time changes.
- Fixed Letter Shortcut. Shortcuts would start sending inquiries rather than opening the saved document.
- Easy Access would give the message ‘ ” is not a valid integer value’ if the user tried to send before completing the modem setup. A more direct error message now is displayed explaining to the user that the modem has not yet been setup.
- Increased the Reference fields to allow up to 25 items to be saved for recall. Earlier versions only saved 10 reference items.
- Made changes to repair / pack utilities. Also added the option to repair and pack all tables at once.
- Default dial string wasn’t being set incorrectly.
- When sending batch reports, or sending while the Inquiry List was sorted by Marked, the inquiries were sent and reports received correctly, but earlier reports would sometimes be printed out. Corrected.
- When using the <Page Up> and <Page Down> keys on the Inquiry Entry form, it would bring up a blank form. Corrected.
- Earlier versions required that you restart Easy Access after setting it up before you could send. This was also true if adding a new department and trying to send using that department before the software was restarted. Corrected.
- Earlier versions, including Easy Access 98 required that you save your last inquiry entered before sending all marked. If not, it would send all but the last inquiry. Now, the last inquiry gets cancelled or posted, depending on if it is filled in. Corrected.
- Earlier versions unchecked Send using Tapi when starting up for the second time. Corrected.
- The ‘Inquiry List’ tab on the Inquiry List was misspelled. Corrected.
- Now, when updating the software, once downloaded, will automatically update itself rather than forcing the user to walk through an installation wizard.
- Revised the way the fonts are saved within the Credit Report Printout. If choosing a font that used a different Character set than was designed into the software, the font might sometimes look correct on the screen, but it would be substituted at run-time. Now correctly displays the fonts always using the default character set. Also, now only displays printer fonts when choosing a font for the reports. Earlier versions allowed screen fonts that are automatically substituted when printed out to the printer.
- Now includes the themes.ini file that holds all the appearance themes. This file was omitted from the installation.
