Denial Reasons

When you print a letter that contains the {Denial Reasons} merge field, Easy Access displays a list of denial reasons just before printing out the letter. This gives you the opportunity to select which reasons you would like included. You can control-click additional reasons to add more to your letter. You only need one {Denial Reasons} merge field per letter. That one field can display all the denial reasons you select.

If you have multiple inquiries selected in the Inquiry List, you can select different denial reasons for each inquiry. Easy Access will prompt you for another denial reason as it moves to the next record. If you have “Use the selected Denial Reasons for all records” checked, any denial reasons you choose will appear in all of your merged letters.

note Easy Access provides over 60 denial reasons, but you can easily add more to the list. Click on the Denial Reasons button from the Letter Merge Toolbar to bring up a list.

Although you can merge a number of fields from the Inquiry database into a merged letter, there are times when you might want to have a letter print 1, 2, or more Denial Reasons for each inquiry record, or you may want to print a batch of merged letters, each with their own specific denial reasons. Easy Access, once again, makes this tedious job simple.

Click on the Denial Reasons button from the Letter Merge Toolbar to bring up a list of Denial Reasons.

Easy Access lets you add as many Denial Reasons as you want. Once you have completed added or editing your reasons, clicking the OK button will save your information. Clicking the Cancel button will cancel the changes.

If you want to have denial reasons inserted into your letter, choose Denial Reasons from the Insert Merge Fields Dialog Box.

When printing a Merge Letter that contains the ‘Denial Reasons’ merge field, Easy Access will automatically pop up your Denial Reasons just before printing out the letter, giving you the opportunity to select which reasons you would like included with this letter. If you have selected multiple inquiries from the Inquiry List, you will be given the opportunity to select denial reasons for each of the inquiries.

You may choose different denial reasons for each inquiry or, if you have selected “Use the selected Denial Reasons for all records,” any denial reasons you choose will appear on all of your merge letters.
