Social Security Search

Easy Access lets you run Experian’s Social Search, Equifax’s DTEC, or TransUnion’s TRACE product, depending on the version of Easy Access you are running. All products search their own bureau’s national database and provide information on individuals by entering only the individual’s social security number.

Up to 9 social security numbers can be input for each inquiry, thus giving you up to 9 separate reports.

If the social security number you have just entered is already in the database, you will be notified and given the option to continue or cancel the inquiry. If you choose to continue, you can complete the rest of the inquiry. If you choose to cancel, you will be given the option to go to the record which contains the duplicate social security number.

The notification of duplicate SSNs is only active in the first field of the SS Search screen.
Easy Access will not notify you of duplicates in the other eight boxes. If you want to ensure notification, enter only one SSN for each Inquiry and use the hotkey <CTRL-INSERT> to insert a new record.

End-User (EU-), permissible purpose type code (TYP), and Amount (AMT) keyword support are available for the TransUnion Trace products. These fields are required for resellers using Trace Plus. If you receive an error message from TransUnion and do not have the End User and/or Type Codes filled in, you may need to add them to the inquiry.
