IMPORTANT! Please enter your email address when you are on the License Management page so you can be notified of new updates and credit bureau notifications. There are major updates coming in June for TransUnion and there always seems to be something that they are changing forcing us to make updates. We don’t want you to not be able to pull reports if you don’t have the latest update installed.

• Added back an old feature. GrabIT. This is for customers that can’t import from their application into Easy Access, either by our manual File Import, our Watch Directory or our HTTP Server.
• Added new Equifax Output Type: FFF/Acrofile Plus & Print Image
• Fixed Equifax FFF Return. In some instances, Equifax returns different segment sizes for segment ‘TC’ and ‘PT’. Now these segments are checked.
• Watch Directory Exception: Added a new exception message that should return the Windows error message if there is a problem importing a file from the Watch Directory.
• Added support for Precise ID type ’6′.
• Changes that users would make to the Import Rules was not being saved. Fixed.
• Easy Access was not properly assigning the Read Timeout from the Network Settings. Fixed.
• If Easy Access received an error from the credit bureau, it would resend 2 more times before displaying the error to the user. Now Easy Access only attempts to resend if the error is a timeout.
• Added additional exception error messages while sending an inquiry. This should help diagnose connection issues a user might have while sending.
• Re-mapped Help Buttons to the correct online help file since easyaccessonline.com has been totally redesigned.
• Removed VSP (Virtual Serial Port) tool. No longer needed.

Easy Access Version 6.4.2.0 Released

By the end of May there will be a new Easy Access update that will include changes required by TransUnion to support their new security measures. If you are a TransUnion customer you will required to update your software in order to continue pulling TransUnion reports.

1 year of Support and Updates is included when you first purchase Easy Access. If you have had the software for more than 1 year, you will have to have a current Support/Update extension in order to download the update. To find out your license status, visit the License Management page.

If you would like to be notified when the new update is available, visit the License Management page. You will see a new box, ‘NEW! GET NOTIFIED’. If you submit your email address not only will we notify you when there are updates available, but we will also notify you whenever there is a new Credit Bureau Announcement or other news about Easy Access.

Here is an excerpt from TransUnion about the upcoming required security measures. We have only included the portions of the notice that deal directly with changes we will have to make in Easy Access.

TransUnion Net Access (TUNA) – New Security Measures Required Starting 6/31/2013

TransUnion has deployed new required measures to enhance the security of TransUnion Net Access (TUNA) transactions and protect our customers. These measures are in line with the security industry standard of incorporating additional and multiple authentication factors for Internet-based application use:

TUNA Transaction Wrapper: Format coding that accompanies a TUNA transaction must include additional authentication consisting of System ID and password. This required change should be in place no later than 6/30/2013 for all customers and all providers.

TransUnion is committed to ensuring the security of all TUNA transactions. Transactions that do not meet these security requirements by the specified dates will not process properly and will return an error message.

By 6/30/2013, all TUNA transactions should include additional authentication consisting of System ID and password. This applies to customers and hosted system providers who maintain valid TUNA digital certificates to access TransUnion services. Customers who maintain their own TUNA digital certificate and use an onsite system provider will need to obtain instructions from their provider.

We are committed to make sure you have no downtime and will have an update available at least 30 prior to the deadline.

(TUNA) – New Security Measures Required

If you want to move Easy Access to a new computer you will need to Reset the current installation before Real Solutions can re-register your software.  Follow these steps to reset and uninstall Easy Access from the original computer.

1. Optional: To make the transition easier, use the Backup Utility to backup all of your settings and databases (File Menu > Backup / Restore > Backup Databases & Settings).
2. Download and Install Easy Access on the new PC. You will need to have your License ID for this. Visit the License Management page on our website to download.
3. If you made a backup, copy the file to the new PC. When the Setup Wizard starts, cancel it and restore the file (File Menu > Backup / Restore > Restore Databases & Settings, otherwise setup the software using the Setup Wizard.
4. Test the new installation and make sure everything is working properly.
5. Start Easy Access on the OLD PC.
6. Press F4 on your keyboard to bring up the About Box.
7. Click the Registration tab.
8. Click the Reset Button.
9. Write down the Previous Serial Number and Confirmation Code given when the reset is complete.  You will need these numbers to re-register your software.
10. Once the software has been reset, you can uninstall the software from the Add or Remove Programs applet in the Windows Control Panel.
11. Call us or email us with your OLD serial number and Confirmation code that you were giving when you RESET the old software along with the NEW serial number that is displayed on the new installation, and we can get you registered.

Moving Easy Access to another PC

This update is mandatory for any Experian user. Please visit the License Management page to download. Have your License ID handy. If you don’t have it, email Real Solutions (helpdesk@realsol.com) or use our Contact Page. Also keep in mind, in order to update to the latest version, you need to have current support (either the first year of owning a license of Easy Access or a current Support/Update extension).

Version 6.4.1.2, released 6/18/2012

• Fixed the way it connects to the Lookup site to make sure it only tries one time while the software is running.
• Added ENTRUST as an issuer for the Experian certificate. This version still supports VERISIGN as an issuer for backwards compatibility for both the DEMO and Production Experian environments.
• 6.4.1.0 was installing the NT service for Enterprise and Architect version with the service name EAServ rather than EAService. This has been fixed so it won’t be confusing to users who had earlier manually installed the service from command line.

Easy Access version 6.4.1.2 released

On June 16th, Experian changed their digital certificate causing problems with the current version and older versions of Easy Access. The latest version supports their new certificate.

As long as you have a current Support/Update Extension for Easy Access you can download the latest version by visiting the License Management area on our website. This would be version 6.4.1.2 or greater.

If your support has expired and the website won’t let you download 6.4.1.2 or greater, you will need to contact Real Solutions to extend your support.

Experian and the new online certificate

• 6.4.1.0 did not allow user’s to change to the new Experian DEMO URL in the Experian only version of Easy Access. This has now been fixed. Click here for information on how to change this URL.

Easy Access version 6.4.1.1 released

• This update now allows users to change to Experian’s new ‘DEMO’ site URL. Click here for information on how to change this URL.
• On new Enterprise or Architect installations, the NT Service is now automatically installed but is not activated. You will need to still set it to automatically be activated within the Service Applet and of course set it to an administrator account.
• New installations now recognize the Architect License ID’s.
• Now allows Equifax customers to enter non alphanumeric characters in the subscriber number ‘-’ password field in the Bureau Setup. Thus the ‘@’ can now be entered.
• No longer checks for program updates at program startup. This options will be added again later.
• No longer shows Popup Messages since newer versions of Windows can’t display the old Helpfile. Another option will be created in later version to help new users use the program.
• For years, Easy Access has been compressed to a smaller size (the EXE file or program file). This was originally done because it use to be shipped on 3 1/2 disks years ago. Since it now is being downloaded or put on CD’s and our Installation compresses them anyhow we are no longer compressing the files. We feel since the file doesn’t have to be uncompressed each time it is used it may speed up the software.
• 6.4.0.3 BETA: Fixed the printing problem which would produce the word ‘ERROR!’ When trying to reprint a Stored report.
• Fixed the Canadian Report issue where a user would receive an error when trying to pull a Canadian Report
• 6.4.0.2 BETA: Fix problem where Easy Access would assign the wrong URL for TU. Now it looks at the installed cert and assigns the correct URL depending on the cert installed.

Easy Access version 6.4.1.0 released

Experian has changed the URL for their ‘DEMO’ site. This is the URL that is used when you have ‘Internet (test)’ set as your ‘Connection Type’ in the ‘ Bureau Setup’ of Easy Access. Follow these steps to change that URL in Easy Access.

* NOTE: If you are running a networked version of Easy Access, you will need to do the following procedure on all workstations that use Easy Access.

1. Make sure you are running Easy Access 6.4.1.0. If not, visit our website to download the latest release, http://easyaccessonline.com/?page_id=233.
2. Start Easy Access
3. Click on the Tools Menu > Debug > Bureau URL > Change Experian’s DEMO URL
4. This will change Easy Access to use the new DEMO URL. You will need the new UserID and password you created in order to use this new URL.

Changing to the new Experian’s ‘DEMO’ URL

This version supports both the new TransUnion digital certificate (TUNA2) along with the old certificate (TUNA1).  So, if you update your software before getting the new certificate, don’t worry, everything will run just fine. Once you get the new certificate from TU, follow these steps to install it.

Easy Access version 6.4.0.3

In order to use the new TUNAII certificate in Easy Access, you need to make sure that you are using version 6.4.0.3 or above (The version number is displayed at the bottom left of Easy Access when have it running).  The new version of Easy Access supports the TUNAI and TUNAII certificates.

NOTE: In order to install the TUNAII Certificate file in Easy Access, you will need to create the certificate on TransUnions website. Contact TransUnion for information on creating the certificate. Their tech support number is 312.258.8088. Say you are a TUNA2 customer and you need instructions on creating the TUNA2 certificate. 

Here are the steps in upgrading Easy Access to support the new TUNA certificate.

1. Exit Easy Access Online if it is currently running.
2. Go to http://easyaccessonline.com/?page_id=233. This will take you to the License Management area of our website.
3. Enter your license ID.
4. From here you should be able to download the latest version of Easy Access Online (currently 6.40.0). If your support/update extension has expired you will have to contact Real Solutions at 530-725-8415 or by email at helpdesk@realsol.com. You will need 6.4.0.3 or above to use the new TUNAII certificate.
5. Once the software has been downloaded, run it or double-click on the file.
6. It will ask you if you ‘want to update Easy Access’. Say ‘Yes’
7. This will bring you to the current version of Easy Access and allow you to use the new TransUnon digital certificate.
8. Once you have upgraded, start-up Easy Access.
9. Click on File Menu -> Setup Options > Bureau Setup > TransUnion (if you are running the Multi Bureau version of Easy Access) and click on the ‘Install New Cert’ button. You will be prompted to choose the location of the new certificate. Once you choose it, you will be prompted to enter the password you created on TruansUnion’s website.
10. Once entered Easy Access will start to connect to TransUnion’s new website using your new certificate.

After completing the steps, if you are uncertain if you are indeed using the new TUNA2 certificate do this:

Click on the File Menu > Setup Options > Bureau Setup. If there is no longer a ‘Install New Cert’ button then indeed you are now using the new TUNA2 cert.
