Your “Direct” Connection to the Credit Bureau

Experian Net Connect – Equifax ISTS 5.0 – TU NetAccess (TUNA)

Easy Access give you a direct connection to the credit bureau’s.  What does this mean to you?  When you install Easy Access, you are not going through a 3rd party.  You are connecting directly to the credit bureau.

Most all credit retrieval software today are what we call ‘Third party software vendors’.  They do deliver you information from the credit bureau, but it usually is just the information they want you to see.  They format it on there end to make it ‘more readable’ to you, of course at an additional cost.  Not only do you pay the credit bureau their credit report charges, but the ‘Thrid party vendor’ takes theirs own also.

With Easy Access, there are not additional costs.  When you buy Easy Access, that’s it!

Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions regarding Easy Access’ new direct Internet connections:

Exactly how (or who) are you getting your reports from?

Experian, Equifax and TransUnion now all support direct connections over Internet.  When sending inquiries within Easy Access, these new client/server TCP/IP connections allow you to connect to your credit bureau, log in, request and retrieve your report all in about 2 seconds!  In fact, when sending batches of inquiries, Easy Access averages about 100 reports per minute.  That about 1½ reports a second.

Do I have have to belong to each bureau I want reports from?

Yes.  Since the connection is coming directly from the credit bureau, you will need to be a member of each credit bureau whose report you want to pull.  Each credit bureau has additional paperwork that must be completed before they will set you up with an Internet account.

Has Easy Access been certified by Experian to use Net Connect?

Yes.  Only Experian certified vendors can offer Net Connect and Easy Access was the first software program to be certified.  We also support the additional security features required and recommended by Equifax and Trans Union.

TransUnion says that I must use a digital certificate when sending to them.  Where do I get this certificate?

TransUnion will send you a digital certificate once you have been approved for TU NetAccess (TUNA).  You will need to put this file into the Easy Access program directory.  Easy Access uses this file to connect to TransUnion’s secure server over your Internet connection.  You will need to have this file before you can use TransUnion’s TUNA connection.

Do I have to log onto a website to get my reports?

No.  Easy Access handles the entire connection process.  Once you add your inquiry into Easy Access, it connects directly to the credit bureau, retrieves and stores your report.

How much more does the report cost compared to standard dialup
reports?

Believe it or not, the cost is the same.  Most companies that offer Internet connections to your credit  bureau charge you an additional fee per report your pull.   With Easy Access, the cost is the same as if you dialed directly to the credit bureau and pulled the report.  Why?  Because this connection comes directly to you from the credit bureau, not some third party vendor or middle man.

Are the Credit Bureaus Internet connections available to everyone?

At this time, these Internet connections are available to all of Experian, Equifax and TransUnion customers, resellers and affiliates.
